The European Commission updates the list of European Assessment Documents for construction products.
On 27 August 2025, the European Commission adopted Implementing Decision 2025/1769, which amends the previous Decision 2019/450 on the publication of references to European Assessment Documents (EADs) for certain construction products. This decision was adopted pursuant to Regulation 305/2011 laying down harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products. The main objective is to update the list of European Assessment Documents adopted by the Organisation for Technical Assessment Bodies (a coordinating structure that brings together and organises the national bodies of each Member State designated to carry out European Technical Assessments (ETAs) of construction products). The products covered by these EADs include, in particular, kits for battery locking systems with radio option, spherical and cylindrical bearings with special polyamide and modified polyethylene materials, as well as various other construction structures and components. This decision was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 3 September 2025, which means that, since that date, the products covered by these documents are presumed to comply with the essential requirements of the aforementioned Regulation 305/2011.
