According to this Article, should at least one million citizens of Member States request it, the European Commission can propose a legal act to implement the citizens\u2019 desired procedures.<\/p>\n<p> The creators of this <a data-mce-href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/citizens-initiative\/initiatives\/details\/2022\/000007_en\" href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/citizens-initiative\/initiatives\/details\/2022\/000007_en\">initiative<\/a>, \u010ceslovas Tallat-Kelp\u0161a and Markus Valdemar Sj\u00f6holm, seek to protect the lifestyle and practices of some regional communities for future generations by modernizing the EU\u2019s rural commitments. The \u201cProtect the EU\u2019s Rural Heritage, Food Security and Supply\u201d initiative calls on the Commission to promote environmentally sustainable production of rural output and higher standards of living in new legislation.
